Description

This Oregon grown Western Cherry wood works easily, cuts smoothly, glues well, and takes a glass-like natural polish, making it ideal for woodturning projects! Woodworkers will also love the colors in this unique hardwood. This wood was freshly cut in March of 2024 and contains moisture, so the twice turning method is recommended. The ends have been wax sealed. Checks are generally present on the outside of the half round bowl blanks near the live edge. Box heart checks are present in some of the half log blanks. Green and brown streaks are present in many of these blanks, producing very nice color contrast. This piece has checks, inclusions, soft spalt, knots, and splits. Please see pictures for details.
