Genuine Gabon Ebony is extremely rare and hard to find, especially in the dark color that we have available in this wood. Ebony takes a very high polish and turns well despite its density. It works, glues, and finishes well with some blunting on tools. There may be a few pin holes, surface checks, and rough edges. Colors in this grade will range from mostly dark to a combination of dark with some color streaking. This wood is partially air dried, wax sealed, and contains residual moisture.
