This Old World Sycamore wood is also known as Oriental Plane Tree and is classified under the scientific name Plantanus orientalis. The original growth range for this species is from Southeast Europe to Western Asia. It has a medium density, glues well, and has good working properties. These pen blanks were freshly cut as of February 2019 but will dry fairly quickly. Skill Level: Beginner.
