Genuine Teak is an exotic wood that is highly sought after for its water resistance, fragrant aroma, and smooth luster. A great beginner wood, this species is easy to work and very beautiful when finished. It has a moderate blunting effect on blades. This high quality lumber has been kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. An occasional partial live edge is present on some. Knots and crotchwood figured areas may contain checks or voids. A slight bow may exist in boards over 3 ft. in length. Enjoy this workable and lustrous species! This piece has pin holes and inclusions. Please see pictures for details.
